THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS ROCK BAMBOOZLE AND WARPED TOUR

“DON’T YOU FAKE IT” TO BE RELEASED AUGUST 1st

NEW YORK – It’s hard to categorize youthful new quintet The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, but it’s damn fun trying. They’re just as capable of playing charged, melodic riffs and singing soaring harmonies like the best pop bands, strumming plaintively and telling tales of woe like your favorite emo outfit or screaming loud enough to shatter concrete like a scorching metalcore group.

And whether they’re tugging at the heartstrings or going for the jugular, these Middleburg, Floridians know how to captivate a crowd – as they proved at this year’s South By Southwest festival, where the band played Blender Bar at The Ritz on March 15th. On May 6, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus will perform for an audience of thousands at the Bamboozle Fest at Giants Stadium. They will also hit the road this summer with the Warped Tour.

The band members – frontman Ronnie Winter, guitarists Duke Kitchens and Elias Reidy, bassist Joey Westwood and Drummer Jon Wilkes -- are getting ready for the important gigs the best way they know how – by playing live. They will hit the road with 30 Seconds To Mars beginning April 27th. “There’s nothing like getting onstage and playing your songs for a bunch of people who are there to see you,” says Winter. “Even if they don’t know who you are, it’s fun to try to connect with them and win them over.”

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus spent the beginning of the year finishing their debut album, “Don’t You Fake It” with producer David Bendeth (Hawthorne Heights, Breaking Benjamin). The disc, a stunning combination of passionate life experiences and a multitude of musical influences, is scheduled for release August 1st on Virgin Records. The first single “Face Down” will be charging through the airwaves this June.

Even though The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are just getting started, they’ve already been featured on MTVU’s “Freshman Show” and on MTV and MTV2 for a “You Hear it First” segment. Then in May, Music Choice will feature the group on “Fresh Crops.”

“So many amazing things have already happened to us,” enthuses Winters. “And we’re just getting started.”
