N E W S & I N FO .September 13, 2006Letters of Warning
Check out this awesome band out of Sugar Land, Texas. Too bad they broke up......... Continued growth from broken dreams… Freddy Hinojosa and Daniel Payne, both previously of Modern Day John, are still pursuing their aspirations of making music. From these mangled roots of MDJ, Letters Of Warning has blossomed into a new creation- a new beginning. After the split , Dan and Freddy decided to first hold auditions for a new lead singer. With a fresh plan of having males and females tryout, the two found a rush of talent placed in front of them from all different places in and out of the US . A flower blooms amidst cloudy days… One of the auditioning females was 17-year-old Lauren Scott, still busy with high school life and parents. After meetings and auditions it was down to two females vocalists. A week or so after the last two had been chosen; Lauren was called to the local Denny’s and told she was the new lead songster. Now with the 3 members bonding, they decided to start interviewing the various people auditioning for bass guitar. A silly whim or so it seems… One of these being Chris (Butch) Ewing , an involved Youth Pastor and Venue Manager in Midlothian , Texas . Butch made the drive to Houston for his first audition and interview, and two weeks later for his second. By the end of the second audition, the three band mates knew there was a fourth among them. Since told of his joining the band, Butch and family have made the sacrifice of leaving friends and family behind in Midlothian to be closer to his sudden calling. Cleanse the pallet of the Emanating haze… After almost a year of courting and bonding the band has put forth their first project “Dreams of Darkening Spain”. The five track EP contains a mixture of diverse textures and tastes- some easier to swallow than others . Whether you prefer laid back rock; harder, in-your-face sounds; classical and instrumental tunes; or even a second language you will find all in LOW’s new Ep. Letters of Warning is a group of Christ followers pulled together to make the music they love. With a positive but realistic message to give, LOW wishes to accomplish one major thing: love others with their lives by sharing emotions, experiences, and their talents with everyone through their music. Because of the path their lives have been laid out upon Letters of Warning will be playing at bars, clubs, churches, camps, festivals, and wherever opportunity rears its head.
