Shirley Manson goes solo

Scottish rocker Shirley Manson is set to record a solo album. The lithe Garbage queen is alleged to be enlisting the help of friends Jack White (White Stripes), Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins) and Paul Buchanan (The Blue Nile) in making a quality recording.

While Garbage take a short break and Ms Manson collects talented friends to aid her solo recording, spring 2007 will see the release of a Garbage best of collection.
