Girls Aloud Talk Politics
The New Statesman spoke with Girls Aloud about politics, where the girl group offered advice on how today's politicians go about engaging the young. "They need people like us to go into the schools and help spread the word," Cheryl Cole offered. "Our fans would definitely listen to us. They'd think, well, if Kimberley [Walsh] and Cheryl and Nicola [Roberts] are interested in it, then I want to know about it. Politicians know that we get listened to by more young fans than they do. That's why David Cameron said he fancied me. He was just trying to be cool. I bet he couldn't name a single song of ours. Do I fancy him? No! Politicians should stop trying to be cool and get on with running the country." Read more.
