N E W S & I N FO .December 10, 2006The Exies 'Once In A Lifetime' VideoDoes anyone remember when these guys came to the coast? It was one of the best shows I've ever seen. The Exies are out with their new cover of the Talking Heads hit 'One In A Lifetime'. Check it out on YouTube, Windows and Quicktime formats. Los Angeles modern rock band The Exies recently completed their new album A Modern Way of Living with the Truth. The album was produced by James Michael (Mötley Crüe, Duran Duran, Camp Freddie) and is due out in stores in early 2007 through Eleven Seven Music (label’s first release was Buckcherry which recently went gold). A Modern Way of Living with the Truth reflects the band’s inner torment and ways of dealing with the uncertainty of the modern world. Scott Stevens from The Exies comments, “The ‘Once in a Lifetime’ video is about rising above the past and moving on through life's pain, suffering, love, and joy. Many people get caught up along life’s journey and pine for a period in their lives when they were happiest - full of hope, love, and friendship. However, these things are fleeting and ever changing. This is a video of everything that we are that binds us and penetrates us and brings us together. It is love, loss, empathy, and shame that in the end, leads us to our own personal truth.” The Exies first two studio albums (Inertia and Head for the Door, Virgin) have yielded such hit songs as “Ugly” and “My Goddess.” The band has been touring for the last two years with bands like Breaking Benjamin, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Used, Sparta, Evanescence and Mötley Crüe. Go to the official Exies Myspace page to get a preview of the new music from the forthcoming album, including the song “Different Than You” which is included on the soundtrack for the upcoming film National Lampoon’s Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj, available November 21st through Eleven Seven Music.
